Panic attacks and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. The side effects of having Panic attacks are not only related to the adverse effects of taking medication. GAD Side effects can have an impact on the quality of your whole life. There are physical effects, they affect your body. The side effects on your health, your emotional health and your mental health. The effects of dealing with panic attacks and how they affect your daily life and relationships.

Many people who suffer frequent panic attacks often feel in a constant state of generalized anxiety, floating between 6 and 7 almost every day. Rise to anxiety and goes to bed with the same sense of unease. It is almost as if the body is trapped in a high level of permanent anxiety. The current generalized anxiety feel nervous, irritable and physically ill. The body becomes tense and uncomfortable and the mind obsessed with feelings of anxiety. This permanent tension in the body and mind leads to unpleasant sensations, such as:

Cramps

Intrusive thoughts

Feelings of unreality

Depression

Nausea

Dizziness
Exhaustion
Vision problems

This condition (Generalized Anxiety Disorder GAD) is frequently connected to the experience of panic attacks.

We continue to discuss on this website, panic attacks and anxiety disorders. Now, I want to address in detail the side effects of panic attacks. Most people who suffer from panic attacks are often described as having a persistent background of generalized anxiety disorder, which remains with them for a long period of time, when a panic attack is over. Panic attacks are not spontaneous, random experiences. They are rooted in the background of general unrest, which manifest as the food of thought when they occur. Some say that the attacks come totally from scratch, but in reality, a more detailed study of a person they begin to know the average level of generalized anxiety disorder, before the panic attack begins.

In a typical day, the average person in a metropolitan area has a stress rating anxiety-somewhere between 4 and 5 By comparison, people who experience panic attacks say they reach the top of the scale (10/09) during panic attacks and not return to normal feeling for a while. What is particularly worrying is that a large percentage of the population never fully returns to normal levels.

Proof At Last that Panic Attacks and Anxiety
Can be Eliminated For Good!

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

If you have been generalized anxiety disorder, do not convince yourself that you have a clinical disease. Keep in mind. This disorder does not mean that you have a physical or mental illness. The brain is fine, your body is in good condition. I would like to remove the term disorder if possible. The term is most frequently prescribed and misleading. It evokes thoughts of chaos and total collapse of mental activity. This is not true. GAD is a behavioral condition that is common and can be reversed easily by following several steps. You can return to a more relaxed life, if you follow the instructions and psychological techniques. When people practice a transmission technology eliminates the panic attacks as we have explained, of course, a strong fear of anxiety surrounding the collapse. As the panic attacks became less frequent, generalized anxiety disorder begins to evaporate as calm returns to a steady state.

Panic Attack Help Natural Treatment

Many people strongly advocate aromatherapy to deal with panic and anxiety. Lavender can have an especially calming and soothing effect when you smell it. You can find essential oil of lavender at many stores. Keep it handy and take a sniff when you start feeling anxious. Try putting a few drops of lavender essence oil into some oil (olive or grape seed oil will do) and rub on your body. Keep a prepared mixture in a dark glass bottle for when you need it. You can even prepare several bottles,
with a small one to carry with you. Other essential oils known to help panic and panic
attacks are helichrysum, frankincense, and marjoram. Smell each of them, and use what smells best to you, or a combination of your favorite oils mixed in olive or grape seed oil.

Keep in mind that some Panic Attack symptoms and anxiety disorders can be treated by Self Help methods.

You may want to prepare yourself BEFORE a panic attack happens. When you’re not in a panicked state, make a list of the things that you’re afraid will happen. Then write out calming things that tell you the opposite of your fears. Then you can repeat these things to yourself when the panic
starts to come. Prepare a list of things to do in case of panicked feelings, and it will be ready for you when you need it. Fill it with lots of soothing messages and ideas of calming things
to do. I find this to be a very helpful tool and am never without my small notebook that has these positive affirmations in it. Panic can be a very scary thing to deal with and getting anxiety and panic attacks under control as soon as possible is important.

How nocturnal panic attacks affect people during their sleep and get to know the various forms of symptoms.

Nocturnal Panic Attacks

Not being able to sleep can actually be quite a traumatic. As a doctor will tell you there are two things that keep us from falling asleep — a worry and or physical discomfort. In your case it is the worry that is keeping you up. Possibly the worry of an anxiety attack as you sleep‚ and the worry of not being able to sleep and how that will affect your performance the following day. It’s a viscous cycle.

The exact causes for nocturnal panic attacks are not known. So what we need to help you do is reduce the frequency of them and if they do happen‚ to come out of them quickly.

We know that most nocturnal panic attacks are not caused by dreams. Records of sleep polysomnographia show a maximum of panic attacks during early sleep phase (phase II)‚ not during the REM–phases associated with dreams. This is a major difference to nightmares. Nightmares happen during the second half of the night‚ so we are often able to remember the content of these dreams. It can be helpful to evaluate the causes of Panic Attacks.

When awoken with a nocturnal panic attack‚ use my One Move technique and that will drop your anxiety significantly. You will then probably find it takes you some time to get back to sleep as your mind is racing with all the things that could go wrong during the night. Should you find your mind racing and you cannot get back to sleep. Have a journal beside your bed and start to write down all of the symptoms you are feeling.

“I was feeling xxx now I feel yyy” and continue to write until this actually becomes quite a boring exercise and your body and mind will want to return to sleep.

Writing down what you are feeling e.g. “now I feel less tired and eyelids heavy” is a simple tool for preparing your mind in a linear way to wind down and return to sleep. (An advanced form of counting sheep) Don’t be afraid of writing pages and pages of nothing in particular‚ what you are doing is helping the conscious mind release whatever is keeping it wake so it can relax and return to sleep.

It is also important when preparing for bed not to go to bed fearing you might awake with a nocturnal panic attack. Go to bed confident that if one should arise you will deal with it successfully. That way you do not put yourself under pressure to “not to have an anxiety attack”.

If you are overly anxious about not getting a good night sleep then adopt the following attitude:

Each night as you retire say to yourself…

“I am preparing for bed but I will not try and force sleep — if it comes it comes — if not I will not beat myself up over it.”

Every person goes through periods of sleeplessness from time to time it is very natural‚ you may not be aware of why you are experiencing what you do but at the very least you can accept it.

When you wake in the night don’t leave your bed try and stay there‚ getting up and watching television etc takes you further out of the sleep pattern and it is best you stay in bed — reading/writing is fine but always do so lying down as that sends a message to the brain that it really is bed time.

Naturally the best way to get a good nights sleep is a good physical workout each evening. This is very effective as the mind may try and keep you awake but the sheer physical exhaustion will bring sleep on quicker.

Also it may be helpful to read our post on how to stop panic attacks in their tracks at: http://panicattackhelponline.com/stop-panic-attacks-in-their-tracks

The frustration at not being able to sleep is important to surrender. Surrender to what ever may or may not happen during the course of a night and you will sleep naturally. It is the anger and frustration that most often keeps you awake.

Below is an interesting article we came across regarding panic attacks and anxiety.

Do you fear a panic attack could strike at any moment?

Sometimes people have the impression that their experience of anxiety is like being hooked up to an electroshock machine and that it just takes a flick of the anxiety switch to cause a flood leading to a full blown panic attack.

People in this situation often feel that are lucky to make it through the day without that switch been flicked but in the back of their mind they fear that it could happen at any moment day or night. They remain on high alert anticipating it. Anticipating the big one!

In fact most people who experience panic attacks fear it in this manner. It is natural for people to think this way as often the panic attacks come forcefully out of the blue.

The truth of the situation is however different. A panic attack does not lurk in the background waiting to pounce, it can feel that way in your mind if you are anxious but that is not how it really works.

Panic attacks are actually something we decide to initiate when we feel out of control. It begins possibly with a skipped heart beat or tightness around the chest, it is then that your mind fires off a thought warning that these sensations are very unusual and signal a dangerous event that needs urgent medical attention or else…

The thought that triggers almost all panic attacks is :

“This is too much , I cannot handle this,” Then the adrenaline starts to really pump.

“Ah I was right look my body is going into a fit…

“I am terrified by what is about to happen…HELP,- PANIC… !”

The severity of the panic attack is directly related to how you are feeling at that time.

If you are exhausted physically, mentally or emotionally then you are more vulnerable to feeling anxious.

After the panic attack has run its course, it is followed by a prolonged period of general anxiety. During this time the person fears that the panic switch might go off again at any moment sending them into another tailspin of high anxiety.

When you feel this way it is very difficult to force a relaxed state of mind through will power (as some other methods would have you do).

So what can you do to stop the mind overreacting to these situations and not initiate the panic attack? Well most of this is about your mind reacting to false signals, so the trick is to train yourself to recognize these false signals for what they and thus shatter the illusion that there is a danger.

There is something very powerful in human psychology and that is the power of giving yourself totally to something. By that I mean, when we make a resolute decision to go for something results are immediate.

In this case you are going for the goal of an anxiety free life. You reach a point where you are completely fed up with this condition and that mindset can produce a real breakthrough. Remember anxiety holds us prisoner because we give it authority. We give it control because it threatens us with terror/death if we do not obey.

Turn this situation on its head. Really chase after the anxiety. It is the anticipation of having a panic attack that keeps you in a general state of anxiety, -so end the anticipation.

There is an element of throwing all caution to the wind to make this fully effective. You abandon yourself to the fear of a panic attack. Sometimes the best way is to get really mad at the terror and say:

“OK come on do your worst- and it better be very strong because I will not have this ruining the rest of my life”

“My life and the people in it are more important than this false fear could ever be, so do your worst because I have had enough.”

The minute you really throw yourself at a panic attack it disappears. It disappears because what was keeping it alive was your fear of having one.

Now you are not afraid in fact you are actually demanding to have a really Big Bad One NOW

DO that right now!

To make this really work you have to throw yourself at the anxiety 100%

-No coming back

Don’t worry about having an off the scale ‘gigantic’ panic attack. I bet you have already had the very worst panic attack you will ever experience again. That is because the worst panic attacks are generally always the first few as you have no idea at all what is happening to you.

Ignorance in those moments is not bliss.

What I am trying to say is that there is no ‘ultimate’ panic attack waiting in the background that will finally push you over the edge.

Trust and believe that you will always be able to handle the anxious sensations each and every time. You will.

What you get by following my advice is confidence that you can in fact easily handle the anxious sensations.

Confidence is so crucial to tackling this problem. Anxiety can be likened to a fog that we must travel through in order to move beyond the fear of what may be on the other side. When we fail to move through it, the fear will linger and limit us from achieving all the things we would like to accomplish with our lives.

Barry McDonagh

P.S. Additional bonus- I am currently offering an opportunity to people who purchase the program this month, to have free one to one sessions with me so that I can ensure you get the results you need. All I ask is that should you feel the course has been of tremendous benefit to you that I add you to a database I am currently updating of success stories.

Here is an example of how the full Panic Away course has helped others.

…learned more from reading your program than I did from all the psychologists and other practitioners I had seen in the 25 years- I must tell you that out of all the items you can purchase regarding anxiety related products on the Internet, I learned more from reading your program than I did from all the psychologists and other practitioners I had seen in the 25 years that I’ve had this condition. I had been on Xanax and Klonopin for about 10 years, but this December, I decided to withdraw from it thinking I didn’t need the pills anymore according to some of the programs I ordered claiming “miracle cures”. That’s when all my symptoms started again. I felt as if I had wasted the past 20 years trying to get better. That’s when I started searching the web for home based “cures”. I ordered so many programs I started to get confused from too much conflicting advice. Also, I was promised support but I am still waiting replies from some of the more expensive programs! You are a true gentleman, and I am going to post a very positive feedback on a website you might be familiar about called: Tapir?

Talk to ya, Andy

________________________________________

…I DEBATED ORDERING YOUR PROGRAM BECAUSE I HAVE SPENT APPROX. $8,000 IN THE LAST 5 YEARS, I RAN ACROSS YOUR PROGRAM SUNDAY, FEB. 5th. I DEBATED ORDERING YOUR PROGRAM BECAUSE I HAVE SPENT APPROX. $8,000 IN THE LAST 5 YEARS OF MY LIFE TRYING EVERYTHING FROM PANIC SUPPORT CLASSES, MEDICATION, COUNSELING AND THE LIST GOES ON, ALL TO RID MYSELF OF PANIC ATTACKS. SOMETHING INSIDE ME SAID, JUST KEEP TRYING, SO I DID. AFTER 5 YEARS OF OF LIVING MY LIFE WITH THE WORLD ON MY SHOULDERS I AM EXCITED TO SAY THAT I AM NOW PANIC FREE. AFTER ONE TIME OF APPLYING YOUR ONE MOVE TECHNIQUE, I AM A NEW PERSON. ONE OF MY MANY FEARS THAT I DEVELOPED WAS DRIVING. AFTER READING YOUR PROGRAM AT 12.30 AT NIGHT I WROTE DOWN SOME QUICK NOTES FROM YOUR “ONE MOVE TECH.” I RAN OUT OF MY HOUSE AND DROVE TOWARD THE DARKEST SCARIEST ROAD WHERE NOBODY WAS NEAR BY.THIS WOULD DEFINITLY BRING ON AN FULL PANIC ATTACK, WHICH IT DID. WHILE LETTING MYSELF FEEL THE EMOTIONS RUN THROUGH ME, I DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU TOLD ME TO DO, I WAS SCARED AS HELL BUT STOOD MY GROUND. I INSTANTLY CALMED AND EVEN TRIED TO BRING THE ATTACK BACK ON, BUT COULD NOT. I LITTERALLY LAUGHED OUT LOUD AND SAT IN MY TRUCK AMAZED. AFTER ALL THIS TIME THAT WAS ALL I HAD TO DO. THE COMPLETE OPPOSIT OF EVERYTHING THAT I WAS TOLD. THIS WHOLE WEEK I HAVE DRIVEN WHERE EVER I WANTED,AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR PROGRAM. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR RESEARCH, TIME, AND DEDICATION SO THAT PEOPLE LIKE US CAN NOW LIVE A NORMAL AND HAPPY LIFE. JACKSON CA, AARON Update

YOU CAN DEFINATELY USE MY TESTIMONY FOR YOUR WEB SITE. I DONT HAVE A DIGITAL CAMERA FOR A PHOTO -SORRY. THANKS AGAIN. EVERY DAY IS BETTER AND BETTER. WHOW, WHAT A DIFFERANCE. ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE AMAZED. YOU TRUELY GAVE ME A NEW LIFE.

AARON

_____________________________________

…I felt sooooo much better

I really appreciate being treated nicely over the internet for a change. Your book really helped me alot in a sence that I don’t fear those panic attacks anymore. The first time I started reading your book I was on an aeroplane and just before a panic attack as i was going to do a job in Switzerland and I didn’t know how is it going to go. As I read a couple of pages tears started coming down my face and I felt sooooo much better. I didn’t even mind the other people on the plane staring at me and wandering what I am reading… ______________________________________

I hope your enjoy our posting regarding panic attack treatment. Panicaway and
some review details.

It is only when we struggle with‚ or run away from our anxieties‚ that they gain momentum. We can only be victims of fear if we allow ourselves to be.

“Do the thing you are afraid to do and the death of fear is certain.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

We have spoken on this blog site about panic attacks in detail now we want to tackle the side–effects of panic attacks. Most people who experience frequent panic attacks describe a lingering background generalized anxiety that stays with them long after the panic attack is over. Panic attacks are not spontaneous‚ random experiences. They are rooted in an underlying general anxiety that acts as the feeding ground for them to occur. Some people claim the attacks come totally out of the blue‚ but in fact on closer examination the person is usually already feeling an above average level of generalized anxiety before the panic attack begins. It is this generalized anxiety that we are going to discuss in this article and related treatment options via the Panicaway method .

People describe the generalized anxiety like a knot in the stomach accompanied by recurring fearful thoughts. This condition is referred to as Generalized Anxiety Disorder or GAD. This generalized anxiety disorder is the breeding ground for future panic attacks‚ and it is important that it be addressed and eliminated so the individual can go about daily business unimpeded by the uncomfortable stress sensations.

If we create a scale of anxiety from 1 to 10‚ a full blown panic attack would register at 10 and total‚ blissful relaxation at 0.

In a typical day‚ the average person in a metropolitan area might have a stress/anxiety rating of somewhere between 4 and 5. In comparison‚ people who experience panic attacks would say they reach the top of the scale (9/10) during the panic attack and do not fully return to feeling normal for quite some time. What is of particular concern is the fact that a large percentage of people never fully return to normal levels.

Many individuals who experience frequent panic attacks often report that they feel themselves to be in a constant state of generalized anxiety‚ floating between 6 and 7 almost everyday. They wake in the morning with the anxiety and go to bed with the same feeling of unease. It is almost as if their body is stuck on a permanent setting of high anxiety. This constant generalized anxiety makes them feel jumpy‚ irritable‚ and physically unwell. The body becomes tense and uncomfortable and the mind obsessed with the anxious sensations. This permanent tension in the mind and body leads to troublesome sensations such as:

Nausea

Dizziness

Exhaustion

Vision problems

Cramps

Intrusive thoughts

Feelings of unreality and depression

This condition (Generalized Anxiety Disorder GAD) is frequently connected to the experience of panic attacks.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

If you have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder‚ do not convince yourself that you have a clinical illness. You do not. This disorder does not mean that you have a physical or mental illness. Your brain is fine; your body is fine. If I had editorial authority over what was printed in text book psychology‚ I would eliminate the use of the term “disorder”. The term is over prescribed and misleading. It conjures up ideas of chaos and a total breakdown of mental function. That is not the case. GAD is a behavioral condition that is habitual‚ and it can be reversed easily by following a series of steps. You can return to a more relaxed level of living if you follow the steps and psychological techniques I am going to outline for you below.

Once people practice the One Move technique for the elimination of the panic attacks as explained in the Panicaway treatment course‚ the intense fear surrounding the anxiety collapses in on itself. As the panic attacks become less frequent‚ the generalized anxiety begins to evaporate as a state of solid calm returns.
The “Panic Away” Program:

Proof At Last that Panic Attacks and Anxiety

Can be Eliminated For Good!

PanicAway does not rely on outdated anxiety techniques such as ‘deep breathing’, positive affirmations, or distraction.

It takes seconds to implement wherever you are, -at home, at work or out socializing with friends.

This technique is not NLP or hypnosis. It is an advanced cognitive technique born from traditional psychology that everyone can apply regardless of how long the anxiety has been present.

You will not be asked to follow a time consuming 30 step program that will bring only minor improvements. After reading this information you will be able to immediately have confidence to tackle any of the big stresses you may have been putting off e.g. driving, air travel, interviews etc.

Panic Away teaches a technique that now allows that person to break the cycle of anxiety and return to normal everyday living.

The really unique element of the technique, is that there is no need for you to regress into your past and find out why you had your initial panic attack in order to get results. All that is needed is your willingness to break out of the anxiety cycle.
